Allen was born in a Custom House in the East End of London, a stones throw from the Victoria and Albert Docks.  He began performing as lead singer and frontman with a variety of rock bands playing on the pub, club, and university circuit in London and the Southeast of England. 

After moving to Canada he released his first CD "Should've been a Cowboy,' which features a combination of contemporary country and western songs and original songs recorded in an 'unplugged' fashion. 

A few years later Allen began performing in musical theater productions in Vancouver and the surrounding area, performing with Vancouver's Theatre Under The Stars and the Royal City Music Co among others.

He took a break from performing to record his second CD 'Hero', a tribute to Tony McNaughton the coffee shop manager who was killed protecting his colleague from her estranged husband.  The CD was produced to raise funds for the Tony McNaughton Memorial Fund at the Canadian Women's Foundation, which provides grants to projects to raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence. 

After completing this project Allen then decided to concentrate on developing a career in Film and Television. He has appeared in independent film projects, commercials and TV shows and recently began working on a number of Vancouver based Web series, including Divine, Soldiers of the Apocalypse and Standard Action. He has also provided voice over for the Knowledge Network, commercials and animation.

In his leisure time he enjoys singing, writing, hiking and standup paddle boarding.
